IMPROVEMENTS
While the original office worked, it lacked immersion. With our move to the second stage we aimed at creating a realistic and immersive experience for users.

INTRODUCTION TO IMMERSION
Our first plan of increasing immersion was to fully recreate an office experience. We originally wanted the user to move around and walk from a beginning reception area to the actual office where the study would be held. While this would have allowed the user to become accustomed to the HTC Vive and VR, we found that this entire process would be too overwhelming for older users.

INTERACTION
With the move to a more realistic office experience we wanted the user to remain immersed while taking the study. I created a user interface that clearly gave the user options and did not require outside interactions from the researcher.

AUDIO
The original study only used audio for background noise and distractions and required a researcher to speak out instructions. This broke the immersion of the user inside the VR office and slowed down the speed of the study. With the second stage of the study I implemented audio instructions that play automatically through headphones allowing the user to remain immersed and save time.
